Teaching and the Educational World

These poems are about my life as teacher, viewpoints and experiences during my twenty years teaching in a low performing, inner city, neighborhood public school. I taught at this school, facing the problems identified in the media, but not the solutions found on a daily basis at this campus by the heroes of the educational crisis: the teachers. I also wrote about the crisis itself, hoping to get the ear of our political leaders, if not our educational leaders, all of which do one common activity, blame the teachers and don’t even bother to ask how we would fix this major crisis in our country’s history.
