The barbaric act of war,
In a civilized modern world,
Eradicating any progress,
Made by humanity ,
After centuries of dark age thinking.
During this time of man made conflict,
A conflict that man can stop,
But chooses not to.
Many souls lose their life,
For a cause deemed important,
By a minority and power hungry,
Government leaders.
Government leaders,
That usually do not have a personal stake,
In the wars they create,
Which are illusions of propaganda,
Designed to drive political ambitions.
The barbaric act of war,
Is just that an act of uncivilized, ignorant people,
No feeling for humanity,
The great loss of young life,
Wiping out another generation.
There is no greater reason for war,
Than fighting and killing for the almighty,
An almighty that man professes,
Stands for love and respect for humanity,
Fighting for religion,
Throughout history,
Has killed, robbed, raped, burned,
More people that any other reason for conflict.
We fight,
Because our leaders decree,
That we must,
Not for self-defence,
To show the world that we can.
We fight wars,
To take over land from weaker people,
To change their way of thinking,
To take resources that we no longer possess.
We take on this barbaric act,
To build wealth,
At the expense of the weak and unprotected.
We flex our strength,
To scare other people, other cultures,
Into our way of thinking or else.
The barbaric act of war,
Has happened everyday,
Since the coming of humanity,
To this beautiful planet,
A planet that is so unique.
Filled with the wonders,
Of the very creator,
That the declaration of war,
Is fought for.
The barbaric act of war,
Is an act that we as a global nation,
Unique to this universe,
Should abolish this act without reason,
That is very outdated and unneeded.
Civilized, enlightened people
Conduct themselves in that very way,
Civilized and respectful,
Of life that is so rare in this vast universe.
